Because tourism is being so heavily promoted, there are plenty of hotels
now catering to families, especially on the weekends. For regular
sightseeing excursions within the city, Embassy Suites, the Crowne Plaza
and the Wyndham Hotel at Franklin Plaza are good choices, especially since
they offer large rooms.
There is not a particular area that is more family-friendly than another.
It just depends on what's on your agenda.
Philadelphia has many popular attractions besides the Liberty Bell.
However, if it is on your list of priorities then stay at the Omni,
Sheraton Society Hill, Best Western Independence Park, or at the Holiday
Inn Independence Mall.
The Hotel Windsor, a 318-room all-suite hotel, recently completed a $5
million renovation enabling it to serve extended-stay in addition to
leisure travelers. Located steps from the Academy of Natural Sciences and
the Please Touch Museum, this hotel is very family-friendly.
If you are going to one of Philadelphia's waterfront festivals then stay at
the Comfort Suites Penn's Landing.
